  • VACATION

Hey Hey. Well in response to popular demand, Bfrank is going to update his xanga for once. Thus, I will take a few moments and describe my vacation at Virginia Beach in full detail...because I have nothing else to do right now. I'll break it down by day so everybody can keep up..but don't fall asleep on me.

SATURDAY: This was the day we took off for the apparent 7 hour car ride. We left a bit after 7:00 am. Being the extremely paranoid worrywart that he is, my dad turned the car around 10 minutes into the trip because he thought we left the oven on back at the house.  Then my mom was like, "Gene, I haven't even used the oven in over a day."  So then my dad turned the car around AGAIN, and we continued our journey.  Eventually we made our way through pa, and went through small pieces of West Virginia and Maryland.  After a couple hours of some serious ipod listening, we stopped at a farm market in Virginia, where I took over the wheel.  This, my friends, is where the journey becomes quite ugly. I'm embarrassed to say that I took a wrong turn at route 81 south, and I took us 60 miles out of the way.  Thus, the 7 hour trip became approximately 8 and a half hours.  The rest of the ride was pretty disgusting, except for lunch. I had a Subway Feast. Route 95 was sweet. I was allowed to go like 85 mph for 40 miles straight...so that was fun.  But then at Williamsburg we hit this ridiculous traffic, and we actually came to a dead stop in several instances.  Thanks to this pleasant traffic, the trip became 11 hours long.  At 6:00 pm we arrived at the Belvedeer hotel.  That night I had a stromboli from this Pizza Palace place by the beach. And that is how it went down on Saturday.

SUNDAY: Hmmm this will be a little challenging to remember exactly what I did each day, but I'm gonna darn well try. I'm pretty sure Jeremy and I just rode our complimentary bikes on the boardwalk for most of the day. We went to this buffet called Captain George's for dinner, which was INCREDIBLE. I shoved about 7 pounds of steamed shrimp and hushpuppies down my throat. The bill was like $160, which is pretty ridiculous, but I definitely got my money's worth.  At 10 pm we watched the finale of the Next Food Network Star on the crappy hotel television set.  Aaron won even though I thought it should have been Adam. But whatever. I was just glad it wasn't Lisa.

MONDAY: Same story...riding bikes, running on the beach, visiting lame gift shops, and attempting to tan.  We ate at this awesome place called Jake's Smokehouse BBQ, which had amazing pulled pork and of course, hushpuppies. At Rite-Aid my bro got this Mane and Tail shampoo, which is supposed to be for black guys haha.  And then when he handed the cashier a 50 dollar bill, the guy was like, "DO YOU KNOW WHEN GRANT WAS PRESIDENT?????" Jeremy had no clue, and the cashier enthusiastically replied, "THE CIVIL WAR B*TCH"...well he didn't cuss but it would have been even funnier if he did...

TUESDAY: Uh I'm pretty sure we went to the mall this day. I was relatively happy to find that they have a Hollister there.  However, I was extremely displeased to learn that they tax clothes in Virginia. BLAH so I had to break my Jackson.  We ate at this Italian grill where I ordered Aqua-Panna (bottled water imported from Italy)...it tasted like straight up Deer Park

WEDNESDAY: Wow I'm getting sick of this already lol. On Wednesday we saw Dark Knight at the cinemark place.  Personally, I was quite enthralled by Heath Ledger's riveting performance. Too bad he kicked the bucket. Uhhhhh we ate at Red Lobster, my all-time favorite restaurant.

THURSDAY: I honestly don't remember a single thing about this day. I found out J-Bay got traded to the Bo-Sox.

FRIDAY: This day was all about the bike. I probably rode for maybe 10 miles before all hell broke loose. I was minding my own business on the boardwalk when all of a sudden I hear this, "HEY, HEY KID!!!! PULL OVER KID!!!" First of all, I don't appreciate being called a kid...because I am most definitely a full grown man. So that got me pretty ticked right from the get-go. It turned out that this mysterious voice was indeed a bicycle cop, which I'm sorry to say does exist. And this was no ordinary bicycle cop, but a woman bicycle cop, who pulled me over for "not riding on the designated bike route". Fortunately, she let me off with a warning, but that was quite an experience.  That night we ate at this sweet place called Rockefeller's on Rudee's Inlet, and they had coconut cake!!! mmmmmmmmmmm

SATURDAY: The last day..we packed up and made our way back to pa. I got to drive most of the way, and I almost hit a Lexus in the process. It ended up being a really really long ride again. We stopped at my grandma's, who lives in hickville in the middle of nowhere. Then we came home. And that's the way cookie crumbles folks.

Well...that was the past, and now we can take a look at the glorious future.  I have to work 31 grueling hours this week...everyday except Wednesday. yippee. That means I have to miss the Steelers' first preseason game against the Eagles on Friday. BLAH I hate my job...whatever.

I have to say that I am madly in love with you if you read all this crap. Goodbye for now.
